Winter/Spring Explorer

If you haven't seen it yet, you can browse it online or just stop in at the library to pick one up. Registration for 2014 programs begins on Monday, December 16th.

One Book, One Community

Alex Ross WOTW ArtworkAs our One Book, One Community program comes to a close, you're not going to want to miss the grand finale, a re-enactment of the infamous 1938 Orson Wells radio play of The War of the Worlds that sent the country into a panic 75 years ago. On Wednesday, October 30th, the SAG-AFTRA Senior Radio Players will peform the original script along with musical accompaniment and live sound effects. Just like old time radio. Banned Books Week

Check out our lobby display featuring some of 2012 and 2013's banned and challenged books and look for trading cards featuring trivia questions about banned classics. Collect them all!

The Big Library Read

Nancy Clancy Super SleuthWe're participating in the Big Library Read event, a global movement of passionate readers supporting the availability of eBooks and audiobooks at libraries. From September 16th through September 30th, all Eisenhower Library card holders can borrow and enjoy eBook and audiobook versions of the Big Library Read selection, Nancy Clancy, Super Sleuth by Jane O'Connor with no holds or waitlists.

Open on Sundays

red appleNow that school is back in session, we will be open on Sundays from 1:00 - 5:00 pm offering services to families, working people and students who might have a hard time making it to the library during the week.

Labor Day Closing

The Library will be closed on Monday, September 2nd in honor of Labor Day. Take a moment to thank America's hard workers!

Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd at 9:00 am.

Fannie Schmoe's Bakery

Fannie Schmoe's BakeryPlease welcome Fannie Schmoe's Bakery to the Library. A labor of love, brother and sister Stephanie and Joseph have spent years perfecting their family recipes for cookies, kolaczkis, scones, muffins, quiches and more. Stop in bright and early to say hello, grab a cup of coffee and taste some of their delicious creations. Fannie Schmoe's is open from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday and Saturday; closed on Wednesday and Sunday.
