Decoupaging Clay Planters

February 7th,
6:00pm to 7:30pm
Learn to turn a bland terracotta planter into something fun and unique that you'll be proud to display! Terracotta pot and all supplies will be provided. Already have an idea in mind? Bring your own paper or photos for a more customized design.

After Hours Teen Time: Guardians of the Galaxy Two & Boombox Amplifiers

We're keeping the library open after hours just for teens. Bring your friends, to watch a movie, eat some pizza, and make a craft.

This month, we'll watch the Guardians save the Galaxy Volume Two and make boomboxes to amplify our custom Spotify mixes with artist Jessica Van Swol.

Urban Exploration

What's in that abandoned building? What's behind that broken wall? Why was this place left to slowly rot away? These are the questions urban explorers are trying to answer. Adam Selzer paints an overview of urban exploration in Chicago.

Battle of the Books challenges students in grades four through six to become familiar with literature. Comprehension and retention are put to the test in a Jeopardy style battle between the teams.

Area schools create their own teams and gather at the library to compete in a five-week battle on questions derived from selected books. See your school's Battle Coach to sign up.
