New Year, New Bullet Journal

A bullet journal is a customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your journal, planner, to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, or even all of the above. Get started with your bullet journal and take control of your life! Bullet-style journals will be provided.

Registration starts November 5th for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with valid library cards. Others may register beginning November 12th.

Heroes of Science

Grades K-6. Registration Required.

Join us for an interactive experience from, "Mad Science" and learn about a few pioneers of science and how they performed their most famous experiments!

Magician Bill Cook

As seen on Penn and Teller's Fool Us, Bill Cook's high-energy magic combines comedy, drama, and audience participation. Don't miss this show, guaranteed to entertain audiences both young and old.

Kids Yoga

July 12th,
6:00pm to 7:00pm
Ages 7-10. Registration Required.

Enjoy yoga at the library with a registered yoga teacher. This program focuses on yoga and integrative learning with storytelling. Yoga mats are provided.

Registration starts May 25 for residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights. All others may register beginning June 1st. Priority for Kids World programs goes to residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights.

Literary Lovers: A Reader's Theatre Presentation

2:00pm to 3:30pm
Get a peek into the relationships of three pairs of acclaimed authors: Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Dashiell Hammett and Lillian Hellman, and Dorothy Thompson and Sinclair Lewis. Annette Baldwin compiled and edited these stories from the authors' diaries, letters, and journals, providing insight into how the work of these writers was imbued with the experiences they shared with the object of their affections.

Autumn Bounty

6:30pm to 8:00pm
Seasonal fruits and vegetables with tips on selecting, storing and preparing them. Nutritionists recommend several servings daily, since they supply fiber and necessary nutrients, and tend to be low in calories and sodium.Many people do not eat enough produce. Try some delicious tested recipes, including Acorn Squash with Honeyed Apples, and Colcannon, a tasty Irish dish of kale and potatoes, traditionally eaten on Halloween.
