Family Knitting

Grades 4-6. Registration Required

Join us for a beginners knitting class just for Families! Each week will build on different knitting skills to complete a simple project. Registration is for all four days. Class size is limited. This is a Workshop program and waivers must be completed in order to complete registration.

Registration starts February 3rd for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with valid library cards. Online registration for everyone starts February 10th. Priority for Kids World programs goes to Norridge and Harwood Heights residents.

Fun with Stamps

Democracy in America: Tea at Hull House with Jane Addams

A crusader for social justice, Jane Addams devoted her life to caring for the underprivileged and oppressed including workers, women and children. Hull House, her center for social work in Chicago, became known as one of the most famous settlement houses in America. In 1931 Addams was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Enjoy an afternoon with her as presented by Betsey Means of Womanlore.

Friends Book Sale

Look for the Friends of the Library in the Book Sale Room on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month to support the library and find great deals.

A Tea-Lightful Monday Movie

6:00pm to 8:00pm
All ages. Children under 7 must bring an adult. Registration Required. 

Join us for a delightful evening! We will watch a movie, have a snack, and perhaps even drink some tea! Picnic blankets and pillows are encouraged! 
(Hot and cold tea will be available.)

Advanced Carvey: Mini Personalized Notepad

March 31st,
6:00pm to 8:00pm
Take your Carvey skills to the next level and learn how to use multi-depth cuts and carve cast acrylic. We will create a personalized acrylic plate for the notepad, and then assemble the project to take home. Must have previously attended our Learn the Carvey class to register. Must have a library card and a Workshop waiver on file.

Using the Cricut Machine: Designing Labels and Tags

Join us for a practical crafternoon to make labels and tags on the Cricut machine. Take your product home and use them around the house or at work to help keep items organized.
