Madam President: the Secret Presidency of Edith Wilson

After Woodrow Wilson's stroke in 1919, First Lady Edith Wilson began to handle the responsibilities of the Executive Office. Her role was acknowledged in Washington but today, her accomplishments are largely forgotten. William Hazelgrove introduces you to Edith Wilson, Madam President.

Leo's Little Explorers

In true Da Vinci fashion, we'll explore the worlds of math, science, art, literacy, and imagination. The program is ideal for those attending half day kindergarten.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Thriller Film Fest: Still of the Night

After Hours Teen Time: Zathura and Galaxy Votives

We're keeping the library open after hours just for teens. Bring your friends, to watch a movie, eat some pizza, and make a craft.

This month watch Zathura and make your own galaxy votive jars with artist Jessica Van Swol.

ELL Parent Meet-Up: Supporting Your Child Starting at a New School

English Language Learner parents are invited to share strategies for increasing your children's success in school. We'll examine library and community resources, the Common Core, and suggestions for successful parent-school communication. Children may attend if necessary. Simple, quiet activities will engage them while we meet.

Sew-Lutions Saturday

Crazy 8s Math Club - Season One

Grades K-2. Registration Required (for the full eight weeks)

Join Bedtime Math's Crazy 8s Club to build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess. It's a totally new kind of math club. You'll get to do mischief-making activities like Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice, and Toilet Paper Olympics. You'll take home cool gadgets, too.

Pen and Ink Writers Group
