To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, living history portrayer Leslie Goddard brings the author to life, reminiscing about her poverty-stricken childhood, her struggles as a writer, and the unexpected success of her famous novel.?

Ben's Bubble Show

FrogLady! - Reptiles & Amphibians

Do you know your reptiles from your amphibians? FrogLady will show-and-tell more than 20 live animals that you will meet up close. Some you can even touch! Bring a grown-up to learn some herpetology too.

Picasso, Picasso and Paris

Gertrude Stein (1874-1946) was an American author and poet best known for her modernist writings, extensive art collecting and literary salon in 1920s Paris. For some 40 years, the Stein home on the Left Bank of Paris was a renowned Saturday evening gathering place for expatriate American artists, writers and others noteworthy in the world of letters, most notably Pablo Picasso. Join us for an evening at Stein's salon with Womanlore re-enactor Betsey Means.

Chicago True Stories

The 1920's are saturated with surprise, sequins, and murder! Martina Mathisen is a 1920's flapper named Flora who will tell you how fashion, crime, and prohibition mixed with explosive creativity to shape the decade of the century. Learn fact from fiction and how reality relates to the 2002 Oscar winning film Chicago. Get a front row seat for Chicago True Stories and travel back to 1920.
