Big Kids Storytime

Storytown Improv Musical

Ages 12 & under and their families. Children under 7 must attend with a parent or caregiver. Registration is required.

Storytown will take us on an interactive, fully improvised adventure. The kids will design the setting and shape the story, and their actors, artists, and musicians will bring it all to life!

Knitting Mittens in the Round

$5.00 - Winter is here for real and you need to keep your fingers warm. In this four-week class you'll receive all the supplies and instruction to knit your own mittens using the "in-the-round" method. Previous knitting experience is required.

Adult Book Discussion:Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine

This month's Adult Book Discussion book will be Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.

Eleanor Oliphant struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she's thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions. But everything changes when she and the bumbling IT guy from her office, save an elderly gentleman who has fallen on the sidewalk. The three become the kinds of friends who rescue one another from the lives of isolation they have each been living.

Preschool Fair

Drop into the library to learn everything you need to know about enrolling your child into area pre-schools. Pre-schools from the surrounding area, including Districts 86,79, and 80 will be in attendance to answer all of your questions. Early intervention organizations and special education agencies will also be available to answer questions.
