After Hours Teen Time: Freaky Friday & Thaumatropes

We're keeping the library open after hours just for teens. Bring your friends, to watch a movie, eat some pizza, and make a craft.

This month watch as a mother and daughter magically switch bodies then make flipping and switching optical illusion toys.

Friends Book Sale

Look for the Friends of the Library in the Book Sale Room on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month to support the library and find great deals.

Pen & Paper Tabletop Adventure

Grades 4-6. Registration Required

Grab your pencils and dice. We are going on an adventure without even leaving the library! Each week is a new story with new heroes in this bite size Dungeons and Dragons game.

Basic Computer Literacy Series

Learn the basics of using a computer in this two-part Computer Literacy Series. A great start for beginners.

Spring Cake Decorating Contest

April 14th,
2:00pm to 4:00pm
Bake, design, and present your best spring-themed cake. Prizes will be awarded based on appearance and taste for adults and teens in grades 7-12. Register to compete or just drop in for a chance to taste some amazing works of cake art! Bring your cake for judging at 2:00 PM. Announcement of winners and tasting at 2:30 PM.

  • All cakes must be prepared before the event.
  • With the exception of cake boards and tier supports, all cakes and decorations must be 100% edible and non-toxic.
  • Cakes must be on site, ready for judging at 2:00 PM.

Kids Knitting

Grades 4-6. Registration Required

Join us for a beginners knitting class just for kids! Each week will build on different knitting skills to complete a simple project. Registration is for all four days. Class size is limited. This is a Workshop program and waivers must be completed in order to complete registration.

Pen and Ink Writers Group

The Pen and Ink Writers Group gathers on the third Monday of each month to read short stories, poems or essays, all inspired by a common theme. Build up your writing skills through practice, presentation and positive critique.

RSVP Tax Assistance

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of West Suburban Cook and Southern DuPage Counties, sponsored by Triton College, offers Tax Counseling for the Elderly, a free program for individuals age 60 and older from low to moderate income households.

Modern Times Film Series: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
