Meet a live owl and learn about the differences between owls and other raptors. After the presentation, explore The Trailside Museum of Natural History's artifacts for yourself!

Bus Trip: Illinois Railway Museum

$25.00 - Visit the largest collection of historic railway equipment in North America. See restored Pullman sleeping cars, opulent private cars, dining cars and coaches, as well as interurban trains and vintage horse-drawn streetcars. Board the streetcar next to the 50th Avenue "L" station for a ride up to the historic 1851 East Union Depot or take a ride on the streetcar line. Bring a lunch or plan to purchase food at Central Diner.

Polish Heritage Book Club: Marie Curie and Her Daughters

Join us every other month for an English-language book discussion group focused on literature related to Poland and Polish culture.

This month we'll read Marie Curie and Her Daughters: The Private Lives of Science's First Family by Shelley Emling. Focusing on the first family in science, this biography of Marie Curie plumbs the recesses of her relationships with her two daughters, extraordinary in their own right, and presents the legendary scientist to us in a fresh way.
