Messy Hands Busy Minds

Roll up your sleeves! Let's get dirty, have fun, and explore new concepts! Be sure to wear clothes to get messy in. All participants should bring an adult partner.

Deliciously Fictitious Book Club: Catering to Nobody

Join us every other month in Fannie's Cafe to discuss culinary-themed mysteries and sample delicious recipes from the pages of the books.

This month we'll read Catering to Nobody by Diane Mott Davidson. Catering a wake is not Goldy's idea of fun. Yet the Colorado caterer throws herself into preparing a savory feast designed to soothe forty mourners. And her culinary efforts seem to be exactly what the doctor ordered until her ex-father-in-law drops dead and Goldy is accused of putting poison on the menu.

Singer/Songwriter Dawn O'Keefe Williams

Blending blues, rock, and Americana, Harwood Heights-raised singer/songwriter Dawn O'Keefe WIlliams sings songs with a universal message of life as a woman, mother, grandmother, and musician in the 21st century. Dawn will be sharing not only her music but how the songs came about as she performs an acoustic set with her husband Danny Doyle.

Intro to the Embroidery Machine

Healthy Sugars

Sugars can have a major impact on various health factors including diabetes, arthritis, and heart disease. Join us for an educational talk with Oak Street Health and learn about sugars both good and bad, how to tell the difference, and best practices for controlling our sugar levels.
