Make a One-String Slide Guitar

Many blues guitarists including, Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters, first learned to play on homemade one-string guitars. With basic materials, a string, a couple of screws and an Altoids tin, we'll make our own guitars and learn a song or two. All supplies included.

In this hands-on workshop, learn the art of filmmaking from script to screen. You'll write, shoot, and edit your own incredible mini-movie. We'll provide cameras but you can bring your own if you choose.

Pen & Paper Tabletop Adventure

Grades 4-6. Registration Required

Grab your pencils and dice. We are going on an adventure without even leaving the library! Each week is a new story with new heroes in this bite size Dungeons and Dragons game.

Kids Carvey

Learn about the new machine in the Workshop! The Carvey is a great tool with endless possibilities for carving, cutting, and engraving wood or plastics. Everyone will have a turn to create their own sample project! Parents are required to assist their children with the machine.

Adult Book Discussion: The Dollhouse

Deliciously Fictitious Book Club: Eggs in Purgatory

Join us every other month in Fannie's Cafe to discuss culinary-themed mysteries and sample delicious recipes from the pages of the books.

This month's book will be Eggs in Purgatory by Laura Childs

Suzanne, Toni, and Petra lose their husbands but find independence when they open the Cackleberry Club Cafe. Business has been good but two murders, a runaway girl, a vicious widow, and a messianic cult leader just might lead to their undoing.

After Hours Teen Time: The Karate Kid & Paper Cranes
