Garden Club: Remnants of the Illinois Wilderness?

Wednesday, November 6, 2019 -
6:00pm to 7:30pm
What was Illinois like 300 years ago when it was home to Native Americans and early European settlers? It was a landscape of prairies, forests, and wetlands, untouched since the last ice age. Today, that wilderness is mostly gone, but some remnants survive as state parks, nature preserves, and wildlife refuges. Naturalist and photographer Jim Rowan explores these natural areas, sharing his discovery of the plants and animals that still remain.

Registration starts August 5th for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with valid library cards. Online registration for everyone starts August 12th.
