Kids Write Away Redux

Grades 4-6. Registration Required.

Want to become the next famous author? Join us for one or all three classes this summer! The themes for each class are, "Unforgettable Book Titles," "To Prologue or Not to Prologue," and "Memorable First Lines."

Registration starts May 28th for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with valid library cards. Online registration for everyone starts June 3rd. Priority for Kids programs is given to Norridge and Harwood Heights residents.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Learn Tunisian Crochet

August 29th,
6:30pm to 8:30pm
$5.00 - Learn Tunisian Crochet stitches and create a cotton dish cloth or hot pad using the stitches you have learned. No previous experience necessary.The registration fee covers the cost of yarn, crochet hook, and project guide. This class is for adults and teens in 7th grade and up.

Come into Kids World where we'll take a photo of you with your favorite book. In a few days it will be transformed into a poster on display! Come back in October and you'll get to take your poster home.

Everything You Need to Know About Land Trusts

A land trust is a legal agreement commonly used in estate planning. Jo Ann Kubinski from Parkway Bank examines how using a land trust lets your beneficiaries avoid stress, delays, and expense when inheriting real estate.

Mini Comic Con

Don your cape and tights then drop into Eisenhower to join hundreds of fans at our annual Mini Comic Con, a celebration of the best in pop culture. Have fun with everything geeky: comics, toys, video gaming, television, original art, collectibles, anime, manga, and more!

Bus Trip - Wired to Wear and Makers United at Museum of Science and Industry

Kids Knitting

Join us for a beginners knitting class just for kids! Each week will build on different knitting skills to complete a simple project. Registration is for all three days. Class size is limited. This is a Workshop program and waivers must be completed in order to complete registration.
