Discussion Group

Polish Heritage Book Club: Marie Curie and Her Daughters

Thursday, August 8, 2019 -
3:00pm to 4:30pm
Join us every other month for an English-language book discussion group focused on literature related to Poland and Polish culture.

This month we'll read Marie Curie and Her Daughters: The Private Lives of Science's First Family by Shelley Emling. Focusing on the first family in science, this biography of Marie Curie plumbs the recesses of her relationships with her two daughters, extraordinary in their own right, and presents the legendary scientist to us in a fresh way.

Books are available to borrow at the Library Services Desk one month before our meeting.
