Color Your Own Magnet

Drop In. Ages 12 and under. Children under 7 must bring an adult.

Come visit the library to make your one-of-a-kind magnet. Color one of the patterns provided, or draw your own. Supplies will be provided, but are limited.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Adult Book Discussion: The Leavers

This month's Adult Book Discussion book will be The Leavers by Lisa Ko.

After his mother disappears, eleven-year-old Deming is adopted by white professors. They rename him Daniel in an effort to make him over an "all-American boy." But far away from all he's ever known, Daniel struggles to reconcile his new life with his mother's disappearance and the memories of the family and community he left behind.

Copies of the book are available in regular and large type. Loans will also be available in audio and eBook formats. Join us for a lively discussion.

Learn the Carvey: Engraved Bookmark

The Carvey machine engraves, carves, or cuts flat materials like wood, plastic, and metal. Learn the basics of the Carvey's software and create a personalized wooden bookmark. Adults and teens 7th grade and up.
