Once Upon a Brick

Brick by brick, imagine and engineer part of a story using Lego bricks. Tales told here may include magic, monsters, and other strange wondrous things.

Basic Computer Literacy Series

Crazy 8s Math Club - Season One

Join Bedtime Math's Crazy 8s Club to build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess. It's a totally new kind of math club. You'll get to do mischief-making activities like Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice, and Toilet Paper Olympics. You'll take home cool gadgets, too.

Modern Times Film Series: All the Money in the World

This month's movie will be All the Money in the World, the true story of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III and the attempt by his mother to convince her billionaire father to pay the ransom. 2017. Fingerless Gloves Using the Serger

Fingerless gloves are not only cute but practical. This pattern comes in mitten, 3/4, and elbow length. We'll make the 3/4 length version using the serger so a previous serger class is a prerequisite.

Meet Norm the T-Rex

September 26th (All day) to October 2nd (All day)
We're excited for you to meet Norm. A South Dakota native, Norm is a life-size replica of a 67 million year-old T-Rex skull on loan from the Field Museum courtesy of Fannie's Cafe.

Stop in this week to get up close and personal with Norm, take a selfie, and draw Norm's body. Then, head into Fannie's to see more fossils, pick up a dino button, or some dinosaur-themed goodies.

Moon Viewing Party

Lori Rader-Day, author of Under a Dark Sky, a thriller set in a dark-sky stargazing park will visit Eisenhower on Sunday, October 14th. To get ready for her visit, we're setting up telescopes to view the night sky, Just after sunset we'll take a close look at the waning Harvest Moon.
