Summer Reading 2008

(Jun 1 - Jul 26, Ages 3 thru gr 5)

Reading can be a great game, especially if there are prizes at the end. Each child can earn up to 5 prizes. Read for 500 minutes (that's just over one hour a week) and you could earn even more prizes.

The Daisey Book company will donate 2 kids bikes as prizes for the Summer Reading program. Look for contest rules in Kids World.

Registration begins June 2nd.
Summer Storytime
We will feature new books every storytime. Crafts, music, and fun for all. See calendar for dates.

Love X-Sports, or bikes? Come check out the amazing tricks by X-Sports Medalist Matt. Known as the #1 flatland rider in the US, he's a phenomenal show rider who performs regularly at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida. He's ready to "Get in the Game" for summer. Don't miss out on what's sure to be a spectacular show.

Pokemon Bingo

(Jun 18, 1-3 pm, Ages K and up)

You'll get the chance to design your own board. Play bingo for Pokemon prizes.



Samantha's Amazing Acro-cats

(Jun 23, 6:00 pm, All ages)

Fantastic cats will amaze and amuse you. They ride skateboards, roll barrels, walk the high wire, push shopping carts, and jump through hoops. Come meet Tuna, Pinky, Darby, Waldo, and a few of their talented feline friends for this amazing cat show.


Play Dough Sculpture Contest

(Begins Jun 21, Deadline Jul 11, Ages K and up)

Bring out your creative side with fantastic sculptures. We'll provide the playdough, you create the artwork. Pain it if you like. Look for contest rules in Kids World.


Craft Day

(Jul 2, 12-3 pm, All ages)

Want your own thumb wrestling ring? Make that and two other crafts during craft day. Sign up early. Space is limited to only 60 kids


Summer Picnic

(Aug 2, 11-1 pm, All ages)

We wrap up the summer with our annual picnic. Food, games, stories, and of course, lot s of water. Everybody gets wet at the Super Soaker Stories, so bring your towels.
