July Programs:
Book Discussion Group: Come join a lively and informative book discussion group at the library. The group meets on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month. The next Monday session will be held from 7:00 to 8:30, July 7 and the Tuesday session is from 2:00 to 3:30, July 8 in the meeting room on the second floor. We will be discussing The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell. We read a mix of contemporary and older classics as well as some biography and non-fiction. More information.
Memoir Writing Workshop: You know you're special. If you'd like to tell your story, Nancy Stewart can get you started. Join us for a Memoir Writing Workshop. The class meets for two hours each week on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 beginning July 8 and ending August 5. There will be in-class and at-home assignments, peer reviews, and one on one time with the instructor. The class costs $20.00 for all six sessions. Limited space.
College Funding: Everett College Funding Solutions will present free college financial planning nights on Tuesday July 8th and Tuesday, July 15th from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Classic Films: Spring Series. All Films are shown on Tuesdays at 1 pm. 10 cent popcorn and candy, free coffee!

Anonymous Writers Group:The Anonymous Writers Group for people in grades 7 and up will meet every other Thursday from 4-5 pm. In July we meet on the 10th and the 24th. Bring a piece of writing to share.
Oriental Institute Tour: Catastrophe! The Looting of the Iraq Museum is the new exhibit at the Oriental Institute in Hyde Park. Join us for a docent tour of this exhibit which shows the effects of museum looting around the world, then enjoy the rest of the museum, or wander Hyde Park and explore new restaurants, bookstores and shopping. Friday, July 11. Meet at Eisenhower Library at 9, return at 3. Cost is $7.00 per person, limit 30 participants. Lunch on your own at local restaurnats, or bring a sandwich and eat on the Midway!
Heartland Blood Center Blood Drive: Heartland Blood Centers will be conducting a blood drive at Eisenhower Library on Monday, July 21st from 12-4 pm. Please call the Answers desk at (708) 867-7828 to schedule an appointment. Please bring a photo ID the day of the drive. You must be 16 to participate, and people who are 16 need a permission form filled out which is available at the library. Each donor gets a coupon for a free pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream and will be entered in a drawing for a $50.00 BP/Amoco gas card.
